ANGOPThe project is a private initiative by teachers from Colégio nº 225 in the Camulemba sector, launched on the 15th of June this year, with a view to contributing to the multidimensional development of students at that school and the community in general, aiming to raise awareness critical for active citizenship.
Located in the same College, the library has diverse books ranging from didactic, religious, political and self-help and is the first in the district, to reduce the lack of consultation materials, which created difficulties for more than 300 students, according to the coordinator of the project, Laurindo Brinco.
Speaking to ANGOP, he highlighted that the creation of this reading space aims to support students and teachers from the village 150 kilometers from the headquarters of Quilengues.
He highlighted that a book collection and donation campaign was carried out in Lubango, which resulted in the collection of three thousand, when expectations pointed to 500.
According to Laurindo Brinco, this is an intervention project in the educational community with strengths and prospects that will be assimilated by more people from neighboring communities.
The event was presided over by the Director of school nº225, beneficiary of the project, Gonçalves Paquete Goif, witnessed by the deputy administrator for the Social Policy and Communities Area, Fernando Longuenda. BP/MS
