The Municipality of Quipungo, located in the center of the province É limited to the North by the municipalities of Caluquembe and Cacula, to the East by the municipality of Matala, to the south by the municipality of Gambos and to West through the municipalities of Chibia. It consists only of the commune from Quipungo.

POPULATION
It has a total population of 158,918 inhabitants. Its population is mostly made up of ethnolinguistic groups Nyaneka and Umbundu, also integrating a small mixed race community, of Portuguese origin. The majority of this population is dedicated to agricultural activity, with an emphasis on cereal production, with peasants among them associates, small agricultural entrepreneurs, traders and public and private employees.
Its headquarters are located at one of the vertices of the so-called ‘Corn Triangle’, being a transit interface between Lubango, Huambo and Cuando Cubango.
