The Municipality of Jamba is located to the east of the province. It is bordered to the north by the municipality of Chipindo, to the east by the municipality of Cuvango, to the south by the municipality of Cuvelai, and to the west by the municipalities of Matala and Chicomba.

POPULATION
It has a total population of 105,090 inhabitants. The Jamba is an ethnical framework consisting essentially of five ethnolinguistic groups, predominantly Nganguela, of highlighting the Koisan community located 64 km west of the communal headquarters of Kassinga. In the majority this population is dedicated to the self-subsistence farming activity, being associated peasants, small agricultural entrepreneurs, public and private employees and merchants.
The municipality of Jamba is one of the development centers par excellence of the province of Huíla, given its potential in mineral resources, (iron, gold, references to the existence of diamonds) forest and water. A special branch of the Moçâmedes Railroad (CFM) connects the municipality to the Port of Namibe, with a view to the disposal of Ore.
