Lubango wins first transverse workshop of arts and letters

Lubango - The Municipality of Lubango, the capital of Huila, has the first cross -art and letters, with an incorporated library, an investment that aims to develop the interpretative capacity of citizens and promote talents.

The workshop, which develops under the motto “Where Art, Coffee and Culture meet”, was inaugurated on 08 of this month, in the March-Women's board, and is a private project of two university teachers from Huila, of which one already renovated.

It was idealized 15 years ago “to teach to learn”, because the project mentors realized, over time, that people could, less and less, interpret what they read, hence the initiative of the Café Library, so that users can read and then translate ideas into some form of art.

The information was advanced to Angop this Tuesday, in Lubango, by the managing partner of Atelier, Maria Eduarda Pereira, noting that in space the ideas can be transformed into painting, drawing, music music, photography, cinema, writing, crafts and other ways to discover talents.

The source said it was a playful way to work on people's base problem: the misinterpretation of reading, in a place that serves people from eight to 80 years old, of all social strata. He stressed that the "delicacies" of the earth are valued in the studio, so that people can enjoy local cuisine.

“We are also thinking about tourism through the handicrafts that will publicize our beyond border culture, as tourist likes to bring a memory to his country, which is why we are going to work in this strand,” he said. Currently, the studio has patent the exhibition “Woman, more than a March”, by painter Claver Cruz, a tribute to the woman.
Maria Eduarda Pereira, graduated in design, has been a teacher for 51 years and is already renovated. While Paula Rocha Santos, she is a university teacher, graduated in computer science.
The transverse studio is located in the neighborhood of Mapunda, outskirts of Lubango.
