Cuvango wins first 23 bedroom hotel unit

Cuvango – A high-standard hotel and tourism development, called Mumba Lodge By Flow, was inaugurated this Sunday in the municipality of Cuvango, Huíla province, by the Ministers of Tourism, Márcio Daniel, and of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security, Teresa Rodrigues Dias.

Built on the premises of an old tobacco dryer, Mumba Lodge, a privately owned development and the first in Cuvango, has 23 rooms, including one suite, four superior rooms and 18 standard rooms.
The unit, bathed by the Cubango River, includes a restaurant with an outdoor terrace and barbecue, a lobby bar, another bar by the pool, gym, spa, sauna, among other amenities.
A press release from the Ministry of Tourism indicates that the development, which is becoming a reference and a destination for ecotourism in the south of the country, was built by the Omatapalo Group and is located on the Mumba Farm.

According to the note, its architecture was designed to respect and enhance the Cuvango landscape, which is why it is not only another tourist option but also an example of responsible tourism, with a focus on environmental preservation, community development and promotion of the local ecosystem.
It offers visitors a safari tourism service, with immersion in the habitat of species such as wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, rhinos and hippos, as well as hot air balloon rides, trails, artisanal cigar production, open-air cinema, among other services.
The document states that with the inauguration of Mumba Lodge, the southern region of Angola gains not only a new tourist destination, but also an inspiring example of sustainable tourism, as it harmoniously integrates the natural landscape of the farm, the ecological resort and environmental preservation.

The promoters of the investment, in a similar message, announced that their mission is to “offer an authentic, sustainable and inspiring accommodation experience, in harmony with nature and the Angolan rural lifestyle”, which seeks to become a reference for ecological tourism in Angola, promoting the south of the country as an excellent destination for relaxation and connection with nature.
The Mumba Lodge is located on the Mumba Farm, which has an area of 90 thousand hectares and is spread between the provinces of Huíla and Cubango, and is approximately 300 kilometers from the city of Lubango and 123 from Menongue.
