Artist from Huíla presents solo exhibition at Galeria 10A, in Benguela

Visual artist João Cassanda, born in Lubango, province of Huíla, presents his first solo exhibition in Benguela, entitled “ Além da Superfície”.
Organized by The Art Affair, the exhibition is on view at Galeria 10A, in Benguela, having opened on 17 September and remaining open to the public until the end of November.
The initiative provides the Benguela public with the opportunity to discover the work of one of the young emerging artists of the new Angolan generation, in an exhibition dedicated to identity, memory, ancestry and the appreciation of Mumuíla culture.

An exhibition organized by The Art Affair

The organization of the exhibition is in charge of The Art Affair, a producer of artistic content founded in 2014, which, since 2023, has also started to develop work aimed at contemporary visual arts.
By curating and producing exhibitions in national and international spaces, The Art Affair seeks to create opportunities for emerging artists and contribute to the affirmation and formalization of the art market in Angola.
With the presentation of “ Além da Superfície ” at Galeria 10A, in Benguela, the organization promotes the circulation of Angolan art between provinces and brings the public closer to the work developed by new national creators.
